Three males have been arrested after Proactive Team officers attempted to stop a vehicle near to Albert Park in Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon (12th October).
A Volkswagen Golf failed to stop and was driven dangerously before hitting a bollard on a dead end street. Three males made off from the vehicle.
A man was detained by officers nearby and members of the public helpfully assisted officers in directing them towards two other suspects, who were then arrested.
Suspected class A drugs were recovered, alongside a number of phones.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Two other men aged 23 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
The vehicle (photographed below) has now been seized.

A subsequent search of an address in the Thornaby area resulted in the recovery of around £1,800 in cash, a machete and two lock knives.
The 18-year-old was further arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
All have been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
