This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
We’re asking anyone with a home charger for their electric vehicle to be aware of recent thefts, with us receiving approximately 30 reports in the past few days across Yarm and Ingleby Barwick.
We've received reports during the day and at night and the thefts appear to be carried out in just minutes.
We are investigating every report received and carrying out various lines of enquiry to trace those responsible.
We would also appeal to anyone with any relevant footage of these thefts, whether they are the vehicle owner or not (perhaps a neighbour), to contact us on the 101 number or submit information online via the Cleveland Police website.
