Two brothers have been jailed for their parts in a robbery in Middlesbrough.
21-year-old Dylan Johnson of Station Road, Billingham, and 26-year-old Jordan Johnson, of Albert Road, Middlesbrough, approached a man on 23rd June 2025, around 6am as he walked towards the Lifestyle Express on Marton Road. They verbally assaulted the man, who was aged in his fifties, and hit him to the face whilst demanding money, but the victim continued to walk on and did not engage with them.

He entered the shop, only to be joined by the brothers and a further verbal altercation took place. The brothers held the victim and took £35 cash from his pocket, before making off on pedal bikes.
Dylan Johnson was additionally sentenced for a second robbery two days earlier, outside of Subway on North Ormesby Road around 5pm.
As a man was inside the store, his pedal bike was stolen outside, and the victim quickly confronted the suspect. The suspect threatened the man with violence and pulled the bike away from him before quickly making off.
Dylan Johnson had also committed a burglary on 8th June 2025 on Gresham Road, where he entered a property around 5:30am through an open window and stole a wallet from a bedside cabinet. The wallet contained over £600 in cash, 4000 Romanian Leu, a bank card and an ID card, a Samsung mobile phone, a watch and perfume.
At Teesside Crown Court on Thursday 22nd January, Dylan Johnson was sentenced to a total of six years in prison.
Jordan Johnson was also sentenced to three years and seven months in prison.
Detective Constable Itsharm Ramzan from Middlesbrough CID said: “I am pleased with the sentences handed to both Dylan and Jordan Johnson today. Let this be a lesson to anyone who believes they can profit from fear and misery: criminality will not be tolerated. Those who commit robberies—who prey on hardworking people and disrupt our communities—will be identified, pursued, and held fully accountable.”
