As detectives from Redcar and Cleveland CID continue their enquiries into a number of incidents in Grangetown and Ormesby on the night of Saturday 10th January and into Sunday 11th January, a 32-year-old man was to appear at court today (Tuesday 20th January) charged with two counts of attempted Section 18 assault, one count of Section 18 assault and with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The incidents were reported to involve a group of males on quadbikes injuring several people in Norham Walk and Allendale Road in Ormesby on the Saturday night, and later on into the Sunday a stabbing and damage to a property in Slater Walk, Grangetown.
This arrest brings the total so far to four, with two men charged and two men bailed whilst the investigation continues.
Officers continue to carry out dedicated patrols in the area; please speak to them if you have any concerns or can provide information on crime and ASB.
