The 32-year-old woman was arrested on Friday 23 January by officers from Stockton’s neighbourhood policing team.
Following questioning, she has since been charged with robbery and remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Saturday 24 January.
The charge relates to reports of alcohol and meat being stolen and the assault of a member of staff from a store on Westbury Street on Wednesday 31 December 2025.
Officers have been on patrol as they continue to target those suspected of committing crimes around the Mandale and Victoria areas of Thornaby.
