A drugs warrant carried out in the TS3 area of Middlesbrough resulted in the arrest of two men, on Thursday 28th May.
Officers from Middlesbrough’s Community Action Team and the Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out the warrant on Elkington Walk in Netherfields.
As part of Project Orme in TS3, agencies work together to tackle organised crime and improve the lives of residents in East Middlesbrough.
A large quantity of suspected class A drugs, believed to be heroin, were seized from an address and a man was arrested.
A subsequent property search in the Brambles and Thorntree area led to a further seizure of suspected heroin and a second man arrested.
Both men, aged 47 and 49, were later charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs. The 47-year-old man was additionally charged with possession of a class C drug.
Both were due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Friday 29th May.
