A 21-year-old man has been jailed for over 5-and-a-half years after he made off from police after being seen drug dealing in Middlesbrough.
Dillan Millward, of Virginia Gardens in Middlesbrough (photo below), was spotted by plain-clothed Proactive Team officers carrying out a drugs transaction on Egmont Road around 9:25pm on Saturday 28th March.

Millward made off from police when challenged; dropping his pedal cycle and leading police on a short foot pursuit to Marton Road, where he was arrested near to the Longlands Hotel.
Officers searching the area found 44 wraps of crack cocaine which had been dumped in a garden nearby.
Cash and phones were also seized when Millward was searched.
On Thursday 11th June, Millward appeared at Teesside Crown Court where he was sentenced to 5 years and seven months in prison.
Sergeant John Sproson, from Middlesbrough Proactive Team, said: “We are relentless in our fight against Class A drugs in Middlesbrough, which blight the lives of so many residents and people working in the town.
“I am pleased with this result, and would encourage anyone who has information on drugs activity to come forward, so that we can take action.”
