At around 10.10am on Tuesday 17 March a motorbike was travelling along Fabian Road when it collided with a red car that had pulled out opposite the junction with Sandsend Road.
The rider flipped over the bonnet and landed on the ground.
While members of the public go to his aid, he gets up off the ground, picks up his bike and rides away from the scene.
Acting Inspector Gary Walters, from Greater Eston’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “I’m appealing to the rider of the motorbike to come forward to ensure that he is safe and well.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and has information to come forward as well for anyone with dash cam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
“You can contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference number 049859.”
