Shortly after 9.37pm last night (Sunday 8th March) officers began to follow a white Peugeot Partner van which was on the A66 in the Cannon Park area of Middlesbrough.
The police pursuit was aborted when the van entered the town centre however the van continued to travel up Linthorpe Road where it mounted the kerb and struck the front of Mr T’s before being driven away from the scene.
It was found by officers a short time later, crashed into a wall and abandoned in the Hampden Street area of South Bank. We believe four males made off from the van.
Enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal for anyone with information or any relevant footage to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref SE26044125.
If you don’t want to speak to police, you can pass information anonymously to www.crimestoppers-uk.org or phone them on 0800 555 111.
