A family has today paid tribute to a man who sadly died following an incident on Ayton Crescent in Eston on Saturday 23 May.
Peter Phillips, aged 47, was described as the “heart and soul” of his family in a statement.
His family said: "Peter had a big family who all loved him, he was the heart and soul of our family. We are devastated at his loss and feel we have been robbed of him. We would appreciate privacy to grieve and come to terms with what has happened."
Two more people have since been arrested; a 39-year-old man on suspicion of murder and a 29-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A second 39-year-old man remains in police custody along with a 38-year-old woman. A 28-year-old woman has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 67-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have since been released with no further action.
