A further four people have been arrested as detectives continue to investigate the death of a man on Ayton Crescent in Eston.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 65-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and obstructing a constable.
Two women, aged 67 and 28, were both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
This follows the arrest of a 38-year-old woman yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender and conspiring to commit murder. All remain in police custody at this time.
Superintendent Daryll Tomlinson said: “We are continuing our investigation today and have made four further arrests. There will be an increased presence in the area with visible patrols from our officers.
“If you have any information that could assist this investigation, please contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 098497, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
