Officers gathered at the Inspire 2 Learn centre this morning for an early-morning briefing ahead of today's Operation Artemis.
Today's Operation Artemis is being carried out in the Redcar & Cleveland area, and began with arresting those suspected of committing offences in our communities.
The briefing was led by Superintendent Emily Harrison and Chief Inspector Greg Owens, before officers went out to deliver early morning wake up calls to a number of outstanding suspects.


Two arrests have been made so far as part of today’s Operation Artemis.
A woman aged in her fifties has been arrested on warrant and another aged in her thirties has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.
Both remain in police custody at this time.

Four more people have been arrested in connection with today’s Operation Artemis.
A man aged 44 and a woman aged 43 were arrested at an address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Suspected class A drugs were recovered at the property.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault and criminal damage.
A 21-year-old man was also arrested on warrant.
All have been taken into police custody.

The paw-lice are on duty alongside our human officers today, as part of Operation Artemis in Redcar and Cleveland.

Three further arrests have been made, bringing the total number of arrests to nine so far as part of today’s Operation Artemis.
A 41-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, a 37-year-old man arrested on warrant and a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. Weapons including a baton and a knife were recovered.
All three have been taken into police custody for questioning.
