Some great work by our local authority CCTV operator colleagues led to a stolen motorbike being recovered!
Early last week Redcar NPT officers seized a motorbike (pictured) after CCTV operator colleagues reported seeing a bike doing wheelies and driving in an antisocial manner on Redcar Lane.
After receiving information from one of our partner agencies, officers from Redcar Proactive Team were on patrols around Grangetown and they saw this off-road motorbike being driven around in an illegal and dangerous manner.
These quad bikes, one now confirmed to have been taken from North Yorkshire in April, were recovered in the Bankfields area of Eston yesterday by Redcar Proactive Team officers.
We’re reminding Normanby residents to keep their homes and vehicles secure after a number of break-ins have been reported in the past few days.
