ASB caused by off-road bikes
Issued 15 February 2025
The use of off-road bikes, especially on green belts, is a continued concern for residents in Ayresome. We liaise closely with both residents and partner agencies to try to identify where bikes are being stored and who is using them, in order to seize bikes and prosecute offenders. Sometimes those on off-road bikes reside in other areas but come to Ayresome because of the open space.
We regularly have days of action where all staff get involved in this work including the use of drones.
We encourage the public to contact us with information through the COPA app, by calling 101 or speaking to their local neighbourhood officer, PCSO Andrew Knight.
