Your neighbourhood team
Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams are proud to police the area of Cleveland, which covers the districts of Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough.
These teams are made up of police officers, police community support officers and special constables, and are supported by officers from other departments. They work to prevent crime, protect communities, tackle criminals and make sure those intent on causing our communities harm are stopped.
Our officers often run community drop-in events, and work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to shape our policing priorities for the area and find solutions to community problems.

Off Road Bikes
Action taken:
Police continue to work with partners to address the off-road bike issues. Drone technology is being utilised to identify offenders and seize bikes.
The neighbourhood policing teams are taking a multi-pronged approach to combatting this, by actively engaging with members of the public to educate them on the dangers and legal status of riding without a valid license and insurance which is required and through enforcement action, via Operation Endurance, which focusses on targeting and seizing problematic offroad and Electric motorcycles.As a result of this approach, we have seized and destroyed multiple nuisance bikes over previous months. We would encourage members of the public to report any known locations of these bikes to police and partners.
