Off-road bikes and quads: Belmont
Issued 17 August 2026
Update : Your Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to receive reports of off-road bikes and quads being ridden illegally and anti-socially on the ward. We remain committed to tackling these issues by carrying out regular targeted patrols at hotspots and taking action against those responsible. We will work proactively to identify offenders, seize vehicles where possible and utilise information received from members of the community to develop intelligence on the use of off-road vehicles.
Following the introduction of the new Matrix Task Force which tackles the use of off-road bikes in addition to the Not on our streets campaign, officers will be utilising a mixture of tactics and capabilities including the use of electric off-road bikes. This will allow our officers to be more agile and responsive and are being used alongside drone technology to track the bikes and follow them to where they are being stored.
