Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams are proud to police the area of Cleveland, which covers the districts of Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough.
These teams are made up of police officers, police community support officers and special constables, and are supported by officers from other departments. They work to prevent crime, protect communities, tackle criminals and make sure those intent on causing our communities harm are stopped.
Our officers often run community drop-in events, and work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to shape our policing priorities for the area and find solutions to community problems.
Anti-social behaviour
Issued 26 May 2026
We have received reports of youth ASB across the ward in the last month. Each report of ASB which we have received has been investigated so that those responsible are quickly identified and dealt with appropriately. To achieve this, local officers actively engage with the community, complete house to house enquiries and check both private and council-operated CCTV.
We also work closely with local schools and parents and we issue AS13s and community protection warnings (CPWs) where appropriate.
Recent reports of ASB have resulted in two Dispersal Order being applied to the area, this allowed officers to disrupt and challenge the behaviour of anybody causing alarm and distress, and to prevent further ASB.
Officers have conducted targeted foot and car patrols throughout the ward, and engaged with any youths found to be gathering in groups in an effort to deter further incidents and to provide reassurance to residents.
We will continue to monitor and respond and be highly visible in the area.

Nuisance motorbikes
Issued 26 May 2026
To identify those riding illegally throughout our community, officers check local CCTV and we also run regular dedicated patrols designed specifically to target such offences.
When we identify addresses where we believe vehicles are kept, we visit them and where possible we seize the motorbike or electric bike and prosecute the rider for any offences we can prove.
Officers also regularly engage with ward residents via PCSO drop in sessions in order to create a safe environment to discuss concerns and to encourage information sharing.
We will continue to make enquiries to where these bikes are stored and take positive action when we find riders and the bikes.
