Shortly after half past midnight today (00.34am on Thursday 27th August) we received a number of calls reporting a vehicle had crashed into a wall at an address on Steele Crescent in South Bank.

A ”substantial” amount of cannabis as well as thousands of pounds in cash was recovered yesterday by Redcar and Cleveland’s Proactive Team.
Officers who were patrolling around the Grangetown and Skippers Lane industrial estate last night (Sunday 26th July) came across a man who was transporting a wheelbarrow-load of long planks of wood which we suspect may have been stolen from a fairly new fence or from a builder’s yard nearby.
Drug dealing - Eston
Over the last three months we have listened to your concerns reference drug dealing in the Eston ward. We have gathered intelligence and this intelligence will be put forward to the courts to continue to obtain warrants.
A warrant was obtained for an address in the Bankfields area which caused disruption to the occupants.
I encourage anyone who witnesses any drug dealing or has any information to contact the police or Crime Stoppers which is totally anonymous on 0800 555 111.
Anti Social Behaviour - Eston
The neighbourhood policing team continues to tackle Anti Social Behaviour and again relies on the support of the public to report all incidents as this builds a picture for where we should carry out dedicated patrols. We encourage members of the public to share information with ourselves and the partner agencies we work with including the Anti Social Behaviour team and several housing associations.
We will continue to work with our partners and get house closures for persistent offenders, issue community protection warnings and notices to the individuals involved.
Criminal use of bikes - Eston
Our local Eston Neighbourhood team will continue to focus on prevention, identifying the riders of the off-road motor bikes/surrons and quads.
We make it a daily tasking of trying to disrupt the minority of individuals that are disrupting the community and causing alarm and distress to residents.
The Greater Eston Inspector continues to hold and chair partnership meetings specifically about the use of Off Road Bikes/Quads and surrons.
We heavily rely on residents/members of the public to provide information on these matters, and it is all in confidence it would never be disclosed outside of the Police environment.
We now have a dedicated Op Endurance Team, which includes plain clothed officers, unmarked vehicles and two surrons for the dedicated officers to use.
This has resulted in over a hundred vehicles being seized a number of them from the Eston area.
We are also using drones to follow the off road bikes/quads /surrons and to find out where they are getting stored.
We attempt to identify all riders/passengers, and they will be dealt with for driving offences.
