    Drug dealing - Eston

    Issued 26 May 2026

    Action taken:

    Eston

We have listened to your concerns about drug dealing taking place. We have dedicated patrol plans in place with regards to the drug dealing you are reporting in the community. We have gathered intelligence and continue to arrest offenders with some successful drug seizures within your community within the last 3 months. These include the ordering of drugs from outside the UK where tenants who accept such packages have triggered the first steps in removing them from their home and the community if they continue. They have seized this activity and the disruption tactics used by the police and council are working.
We have applied for and successfully attained several drugs warrants and will continue to act on information received about drug dealing in your streets. I encourage anyone who witnesses this or has information to contact the police. Your information will be kept confidential and although the information will be shared with partners, rest assured, the persons details who provide this information will not be shared with anyone. We welcome any reports involving drug dealing within your ward area which may assist us to tackle this particular crime even if reported anonymously.

    Anti Social Behaviour - Eston

    Issued 26 May 2026

    Action taken:

The Neighbourhood Police Team continue to tackle anti-social behaviour, particularly around business retail outlets. These areas still have dedicated additional patrol plans to disrupt those who cause our community to feel harassed or unsafe in their local area. We are working with our partners to ensure that the local minority of people who are causing this ASB are held to account with the local council Streetz team. As a result, we have successfully issued a number of community protection warning and notices to individuals in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland Council. We also continue to target those who are involved in the receipt of drugs through using the mail system. These drugs are regularly intercepted, the individuals receiving these packages are currently in danger of losing their home through residential closures working jointly with the council. If you are dealing drugs or involved in the supply, you will most definitely be likely to lose your home in the process. This has seen a huge reduction of late which demonstrates the tactical use is working. This means that there will be disruptions in the drug supply to the area to make the community a better place for residents.

During the last 3 months, the ward PCSO’s continue to issue AS13 warnings for anti-social behaviour and with the ASB officer from the council to deliver anti-social behaviour agreements to monitor and hold the individuals accountable. We will continue to work with partners to highlight the consequences of their actions and the impact this could have on their residential status within the community to deter their mission of causing disruption.
This has only been achievable through your information as a community, and we will be continuing to patrol these areas and act on your intelligence with regards to where the ASB/drug

Criminal use of bikes - Eston

    Issued 26 May 2026

    Action taken:

The local teams have and will continue to focus on prevention, identification and the arrest of persons using off road bikes (ORB.) We are using the tools available to us to carry out our mission to disrupt the minority of individuals who choose to continue to disrupt the community. The Greater Eston Inspector continues to hold and chair partnership meetings specifically about the use of ORB’s being used in the community. We relay of information from members of the public to inform us where this is occurring and act on that information. I continue to urge the members of the community to provide information that will be held in confidence and never shared outside the Police environment.
We are running specific operations that target these individuals such as Endurance and Checkpoint. We have carried out these operations where we have managed to successfully remove quads and bikes from various locations due to support from the community. We have used the intelligence you provide to help us identify individuals and locations where we have been able to arrest several offenders with stolen motorcycles and removing them from your roads. We are working closely with partners to achieve evidence to support civil orders such as criminal behaviour orders to use against those who use off road bikes. The bikes seized from individuals have been destroyed meaning that they are unable to continue to use them in the community. This has most definitely disrupted and, we will continue to monitor and remove any further bikes they make attempts to replace them. We have dedicated and monitored patrol routes during our operations. Our focus will continue to build our intelligence identifying locations to target unlawful off-road bike owners. We are looking at new tactics soon to tackle off road motor bikes so we can hopefully have more success moving forward as technology improves.
