Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) involving young people
Issued 04 March 2025
The Neighbourhood Police Team have initiated a high profile and operation in the ward. Additional patrols have been in place and we will be seeking to support victims of this behaviour and identify those responsible. We have been concentrating in the area of Broadway West, Ennis Square, The Fleet and Britannia Place. Several arrests have been made, people charged and some people send to prison.
We are working with Beyond Housing and RCBC ASB Team to protect vulnerable people and working together to tackle organised criminality. We will continue to do this and will be considering house closures as one of the options to stop criminality in the area.
March had the lowest levels of overall crime that we had seen in the ward during the previous year, and we are continuing to address these issues, with extra resources and increased visibility.
