Antisocial behaviour / drug misuse
Issued 17 August 2026
Update: We continue to focus our attention on identified hotspots of drug misuse and anti-social behaviour. We have been liaising with Beyond Housing regarding this. Working alongside Redcar Borough Council a number of CPWs and CPNs have been issued in order to tackle anti-social behaviour and drug misuse. These are an effective way to deter and prevent this behaviour. Going forward these addresses will continue to be monitored and any breaches will be actioned.
We encourage residents to report incidents in the area, particularly any intelligence relating to drug misuse. We can then develop any intelligence and target those involved. Crime prevention methods have also been discussed to support residents.

Drug dealing
Issued 17 August 2026
We continue to take a proactive approach to drug dealing and associated criminal behaviour in the area, through warrants, stop searches and high visibility mobile/foot patrols in key areas. Your Neighbourhood Team Officers welcome local intelligence from residents to tackle the problem. Information can be reported via 101 or online via the COPA App. CrimeStoppers is still a great way to let us know about any issues with 100% anonymity – where the charity feeds this information into Police.
Cleveland Connected (Neighbourhood Alerts) and our local social media pages continue to be used in order to pass out information relating to NPT and what we are doing and also to make appeals. Cleveland Connected sign-ups are increasing, if you are not currently signed up – Cleveland Police website gives details and guidance on how to sign up and the benefits of the service.
