Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams are proud to police the area of Cleveland, which covers the districts of Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough.
These teams are made up of police officers, police community support officers and special constables, and are supported by officers from other departments. They work to prevent crime, protect communities, tackle criminals and make sure those intent on causing our communities harm are stopped.
Our officers often run community drop-in events, and work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to shape our policing priorities for the area and find solutions to community problems.
Off-road bikes & quads- Hutton
Issued 26 May 2026
High visibility patrols continue to be conducted in hotspot areas in attempt to detect and deter the use of off-road bikes and quads in public areas.
We continue to prioritise these issues due to the excessive noise and dangerous behaviour it often involves in public areas. When we are able to identify the addresses where off-road bikes and quads are stored, it may result in the vehicle being seized and riders are educated on the relevant legislation and consequences of their actions.
