A senior neighbourhood policing officer from Redcar & Cleveland has thanked his teams, partner agencies and residents after the district recorded recent reductions in ASB.
We’re aware of reports on social media that there have potentially been a number of thefts from vehicles in in the Wheatlands area of Redcar and around Hob Hill in Saltburn where various low value items have been stolen.

This Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action 2026 – as we shine a spotlight on the vital work that our neighbourhood officers, police community support officers (PCSOs) and volunteers do to keep the public safe - we want to tell you about some excellent work by Redcar’s neighbourhood officers.
Anti-social behaviour
We had been concerned around the amount of ASB in Wilkinson Street. This was centred around a specific property. Working with the housing provider this has been addressed and the the occupier has now moved. We will continue to monitor the area for ASB and deal positively with anyone causing issues, working closely with RCBC and housing providers.
This priority was raised during conversations with residents and during visits to Lingdale Primary School.
We will be aiming to do 1 to 1 work with pupils and Lingdale Primary school, this has proved to be successful in the past and also group work within year groups.
Appropriate enforcement action will be taken against any person found committing ASB
