In the early hours of this morning (Sunday 2 March) Cleveland Police’s Matrix dogs unit, along with armed response officers, stopped the driver of a vehicle on the A66 westbound carriageway.
The men were caught after fleeing a black Audi that was spotted driving without its car lights switched on.
The men, one aged 27 from the Marton area and a 34-year-old from Grangetown, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding.
