Greater Eston neighbourhood police team continue to act against illegal off road bike usage in the Ormesby area. A new Ormesby off road bike plan has been set up to try and gather further information on times and common locations for off road bike usage for us to better allocate resources. OP ENDURANCE is carried out as often as possible and aims to target the usage of illegal off-road motorbikes in the GREATER ESTON area. There have been continuous reports recently of off-road bikes all over the ward and by carrying out planned operations such as ENDURANCE and also OP CHECKPOINT which targets rural use of off road bikes, we can continue to take action against those who are using these bikes to cause a nuisance and also commit crime on them.
We are always working closely with other agencies and residents of the local area to gather as much information as possible to better help us to deal with this issue. The Greater Eston inspector holds regular meetings with partner agencies for off road bike usage in the local area.
The new OP ENDURANCE team are continuing to focus efforts in the area and information regarding locations of bikes and activity involving the criminal use of off-road motorbikes and vehicles is encouraged to facilitate positive action.
