Drug dealing - Ormesby

We have continued to listen to concerns about drug dealing in the ward area we have patrol pans in place to tackle and deter drug dealing from occurring in the local area. GREATER ESTON neighbourhood team are proactively taking measures corroborating and developing intelligence to efficiently tackle drug dealers in the local area. We are actively gathering intelligence to tackle drug dealing in the area we rely heavily on the intelligence received from members of the public and our associate agencies to take effective positive action against those who wish to deal drugs ion the community. We will continue to develop intelligence and act wherever required by obtaining warrants and arresting dealers who continue to cause harm to the local community. Reporting drug dealing is a necessary step for us to act on the information provided will always remain confidential to keep the community safe from those who seek to cause harm or pose a danger to the area.

Anti Social Behaviour - Ormesby

GREATER ESTON neighbourhood team continue to actively work with residents’ businesses and other partner agencies to tackle and reduce antisocial behaviour in the ward area. Officers are carrying out high visibility patrols in the area on foot and in vehicles particularly in hotspot areas of ASB. In the last three months there has been a reduction in the rates of ASB in the ward area despite the six weeks holidays. This shows great progress in the area as officers continue to tackle ASB in the local area. Patrols have been actively carried to around these areas to deter further incidents occurring. Calls for these areas has reduced however we are continuing to monitor the number of calls to appropriately allocate resources to these areas.
Ward PCSOs continues to issue AS13 warnings to those identified in causing antisocial behaviour in the local area and with assistance from the ASB officer from Redcar and Cleveland Borough council we have closed an address in the spencer beck area for continuous antisocial behaviour. This has been made possible by information provided to us by the local community and those who are concerned by any type of antisocial behaviour in the area.

Criminal use of bikes Ormesby

Greater Eston neighbourhood police team continue to act against illegal off road bike usage in the Ormesby area. A new Ormesby off road bike plan has been set up to try and gather further information on times and common locations for off road bike usage for us to better allocate resources. OP ENDURANCE is carried out as often as possible and aims to target the usage of illegal off-road motorbikes in the GREATER ESTON area. There have been continuous reports recently of off-road bikes all over the ward and by carrying out planned operations such as ENDURANCE and also OP CHECKPOINT which targets rural use of off road bikes, we can continue to take action against those who are using these bikes to cause a nuisance and also commit crime on them.
We are always working closely with other agencies and residents of the local area to gather as much information as possible to better help us to deal with this issue. The Greater Eston inspector holds regular meetings with partner agencies for off road bike usage in the local area.
The new OP ENDURANCE team are continuing to focus efforts in the area and information regarding locations of bikes and activity involving the criminal use of off-road motorbikes and vehicles is encouraged to facilitate positive action.
