This is 39-year-old Nicky Holmes who’s been handed a criminal behaviour order (CBO) at court.
This house in Gladstone Street in Loftus is now subject to a three-month closure order after your neighbourhood officers and our colleagues from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council took robust action against reports of ASB and drug related criminal activity at the property.
Just two weeks after pleading guilty at court to a dozen shop thefts in Guisborough, a man who was fined and served with a community order at that time has now been jailed after committing a further 11 offences.
Drug misuse and general Anti-social behaviour
Issued 17 August 2026
Within the last 6/8 weeks a problem property was highlighted to me within the Ward.
I have had a number of concerns from residents and also calls direct to Police regarding concerns which emanate from this address. There are a number of issues in relation to both the tenant and visitors to the property. Drug use by these individuals and an indication of some drug dealing in and around the location. This is causing concerns in the community.
In response to this, I have liaised with RCBC ASB Team, who have been in contact with the landlord of the property. I have also conducted a letter drop to residents for information and asking them to report further problems to us. In collaboration with RCBC the tenant has been issued a Community Protection Warning with conditions around behaviour of the tenant and restrictions on who the tenant can allow as visitors to the property. This warning can be escalated to a Community Protection Notice if the conditions are not met. The Notice carries a fine if breached.
The landlord is fully supportive. We will look to pursue further options if problems continue at the property.
I continue to monitor residents’ concerns and any calls to Police. I am activity patrolling the area and I encourage residents to contact me with any additional information.

Youth related Antisocial behaviour (ASB)
Issued 17 August 2026
We have seen a recent escalation in youth ASB in the area of Borough Park Rose Garden and Redcar Cemetery. There has been a number of reports of youths gathering in the Rose Garden within Borough Park, climbing on the ornate seating area and generally causing a nuisance for people using the Park. Within the cemetery there has been occasions flowers were removed from graves and empty alcohol cans and bottles strewn around.
In response to these issues, I have liaised with Friends of Redcar Cemetery and RCBC ASB Team. Nearby shops have been visited re the concerns around underage alcohol and vape sales. Trading Standards have been contacted in relation this. RCBC will now going to lock the side gates of the park to help restrict access on an evening, as a preventative measure.
I continue to monitor any calls to Police. I am activity patrolling the area and I encourage the public to contact me with any additional information.
