Redcar & Cleveland police’s response and neighbourhood officers as well as our local authority partners helped the town's detectives arrest three men (25, 39 and 42) in connection with an assault which happened in Redcar on Monday (7th July).
These bikes were located and seized near Westbourne Grove in Redcar on Friday evening.
Two houses linked to ongoing crime, drug dealing and ASB which severely impacted their surrounding communities are now subject to conditions under closure orders, with one fully closed.
A 64-year-old woman was charged yesterday with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and she is due to attend court at the end of this month.
We once again urge our communities to be aware of courier fraud after more incidents, this time unfortunately two elderly residents in the Redcar and Cleveland area handed over large sums of money to fraudsters.
Antisocial behaviour in Guisborough
Building on the enforcement in previous months we are now working with the Local Authority ASB Team to support applications for Antisocial Behaviour Injunctions against some young people. We will be targeting those that have repeatedly been involved in causing harm in our community. If granted we will be requesting that the court attaches a power of arrest if the conditions are breached. We will update the community as these cases progress through Court.
Our Neighbourhood Police Team Inspector granted a dispersal order at times during the last 2 months that aims to tackle specifically those we believe involved in ASB. Legislation does not allow these to last longer than 48 hours, nor to be in force constantly. We will continue to grant and enforce these where necessary
We had previously obtained a Criminal Behaviour Order to prevent a young person from entering Guisborough who had been involved in ASB. Recently we reviewed CCTV and discovered the male had been back in Guisborough. He was arrested the following day and then remanded into custody by court.

Targeted patrols at appropriate key times. As a result of the work we have been doing, we have issued AS13 forms which then result in letters issued to parents in conjunction with RCBC as part of their Antisocial Behaviour Campaign, home visits, Antisocial Behaviour Agreements and applications led by RCBC for Antisocial Behaviour Injunctions. Some youths have been charged to court and some are now subject to Youth Offending interventions.
