A teenager has been charged following enquiries into a series of reported acquisitive crimes over the Easter weekend.
As enquiries continue into a robbery which is reported to have taken place on Station Road in Redcar around 11pm on Wednesday 16th April, detectives from Redcar CID have charged an 18 year old male with failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class C drug and possession of a corrosive substance.
Detectives from Redcar & Cleveland CID are appealing for information and footage as they continue enquiries into a robbery in which a woman reported being assaulted and threatened with a weapon before she had money and a phone stolen from her.
A senior Redcar & Cleveland response officer has paid tribute to two of his team who rescued a teenager from the sea off Redcar last night (Monday 31st March).
